As elected representatives at the local level in Europe we must show unity and determination in the face of this barbaric attack. Not only are we ready to support our peers in Ukraine with the materials and expertise they may need in the days and weeks to come. We must also do our part for thousands of war refugees who already fled to neighbouring regions and countries of Ukraine and for those who will come to seek protection in the near future.
