We are proud to announce that our Eurotowns Vice-President Reggio Emilia is among the 26 European cities awarded this year by the Council of Europe with the Diploma of Europe for its commitment to promote the European idea at local level. The Diploma of Europe is one of the 4 prestigious awards granted annually by the Council of Europe to reward cities that have particularly distinguished themselves in the development of relations with other European cities and in the promotion of international activities. The Mayor of Reggio Emilia Luca Vecchi will receive the award in Strasbourg on the occasion of the next session of the Council of Europe. With this Diploma the city of Reggio Emilia will be able to apply for the following prizes: Flag of Honor, Plaque of Honor and finally the European Prize.
