Eurotowns proudly took part in Urban Future 2025, Europe’s leading conference on sustainable urban development, held in Łódź from May 21 to 23. As part of the official programme, Eurotowns hosted the workshop “Go Wild or Go Home”, highlighting how medium-sized cities are embracing rewilding to create more sustainable and resilient urban spaces.
The session featured inspiring contributions from the cities of Varberg, Girona, Manresa and Reggio Emilia, . Participants heard how Varberg is transforming a former landfill into a vibrant natural habitat, while Girona is incorporating biodiversity into its climate resilience strategies. Manresa is linking rewilding with environmental education and Reggio Emilia is expanding its network of climate-friendly parks.
The workshop attracted urban leaders, planners, and sustainability advocates from across Europe, sparking lively discussion and knowledge exchange. It was followed by a Eurotowns-hosted networking event, creating further opportunities for collaboration and connection among city representatives.
