TM#6 in the URBACT “Global Goals for Cities” project took place in Solingen from 6-8 April. It was the first meeting in presence. Hosted by the cities of Heraklion, Tallinn and Solingen, the meeting was entitled „Preparing for implementation – governance, partnerships and policy coherence“. Numerous presentations and workshops brought essential insights and results, remarkable was also the participation of a Ukrainian colleague live via zoom in our special agenda item on the Ukraine crisis and how we as cities or our networks can help. In this context, Laura Kamisli from Sindelfingen presented the new website „Cities4Cities“. The supporting programme included the Industrial Museum on the knife and cutlery tradition, the Müngsten Bridge (on the way to becoming a serial UNESCO World Heritage Site) and two examples of our „places of change“, the „Glass Workshop“ (urban production) and the „Blue Forest“ (private initiative to reforest forest areas). Now we are all looking forward to the next meeting in Gävle at the end of May.
