Successful workshop on the power of youth participation in medium-sized cities during EWRC 2018 in Brussels
The city of Schiedam together with Eurotowns organised a successful workshop on the power of youth participation in medium-sized cities during the European Week of Cities and Regions in Brussels. It demonstrated best practice projects in order to showcase how to involve youth in medium-sized cities in general and with a special focus on the topics and goals of the urban agenda. Panelists discussed their lessons learnt in transferring the local and rural perspective as well as their experiences to the European level. The presented projects highlighted the political participation of young people in medium-sized cities and the importance of engaging the youth in regard to a sustainable urban development.
