Eurotowns Project: Creating Local Innovations for SMEs through a Quadruple Helix (CLIQ).
This Interreg IVC project, builds on the IIIC CAPTURE Knowledge Economy project and is all about the specific role of local and regional authorities in this process. We know that in relation to SMEs and business they are often:
• An integral part of the triple helix partnership model at the heart of a successful inovating economy.
• Providers of services
• Commissioners of research
• First users of new products and processes.
• Policy makers and providers of funding.
This project will enable partners to examine these functions to improve the way local and regional authorities promote an innovative culture in business Project Aim To optimise innovation in SMEs and among entrepreneurs in medium sized towns in order to rise to the challenges of globalisation.
Objectives
The long term aim of CLIQ is to optimise the benefits of globalisation and innovation to SMEs and entrepreneurs in medium sized towns.
The main objective is to strengthen Local Authority policy and capacity to support innovation more effectively.
